Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
AnyBay, Inc. (“AnyBay,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) builds a conversion layer for self-storage: a storefront, a one-page online move-in, and abandonment recovery that run on the storage software an operator already uses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website at anybay.app, the storefronts and move-in flows we host for storage operators, and the operator dashboard (together, the “Services”).
1. Who this policy is for
Two groups interact with the Services, and this policy covers both:
- Storage operators who use AnyBay to run their storefront, move-in, and recovery tools.
- Renterswho visit an operator's storefront to view units, get a price, and complete a move-in online.
For renter data processed through a storefront, the storage operator is the business that decides why the data is collected, and AnyBay processes that data on the operator's behalf. If you are a renter with a question about your data, please contact the operator you rented from first. We will support them in responding to your request.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
- Contact and demo requests. When you book a demo or request an integration, we collect your name, email address, company or facility name, and any details you include in the message.
- Account information. When an operator sets up an account, we collect account and contact details and the settings needed to run the storefront.
- Move-in information. When a renter completes a move-in, we collect the details needed to create the rental, such as name, contact information, the unit selected, and move-in date.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data. We collect standard log and device information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and timestamps.
- Funnel and analytics data. To power abandonment recovery and funnel analytics, we record which steps of the move-in a visitor reached and where they dropped off.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember choices, and measure performance. See Section 6.
Information from an operator's storage software
With the operator's authorization, AnyBay connects to the storage management software the operator already runs. We read inventory, unit types, and pricing to display availability, and we write completed rentals back to that software. The operator's software remains the system of record.
Payment information
Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. Card and bank details are submitted directly to that processor and are not stored on AnyBay servers. We receive limited confirmation details, such as whether a payment succeeded and the amount, so the rental and ledger stay accurate.
3. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Services.
- To display real-time unit availability and pricing on a storefront.
- To complete online move-ins and post discounts to the operator's ledger.
- To power abandonment recovery, including sending a recovery message where permitted.
- To produce funnel analytics and reporting for operators.
- To respond to demo, integration, and support requests.
- To secure the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, and debug issues.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as described here:
- With storage operators. Renter and move-in data collected through a storefront is shared with the operator that runs it.
- With an operator's storage software. We write completed rentals and related details back to the operator's management software.
- With service providers. We use vendors for hosting, payment processing, email and messaging delivery, and analytics. They may access information only to perform work for us and are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and property of AnyBay, our users, or the public.
- In a business transfer. If AnyBay is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
5. Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Services, meet the purposes described in this policy, and comply with our legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and by the operator's instructions. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site, remember preferences, and understand how the Services are used so we can improve them. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. If you disable cookies, some parts of the Services may not work as intended.
7. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. Because AnyBay processes renter data on behalf of storage operators, we will route renter requests to the relevant operator and assist them in responding. To make a request or ask a question, contact us using the details in Section 12. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
The Services are intended for businesses and adults. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-party links and services
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites and tools, including an operator's storage software and our payment processor. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. If the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
12. Contact us
If you have questions about this policy or your information, contact us at tyrin@anybay.app.
